Me: turned off the ignition and took the key out to make the dinging stop
T: "What Mom?"
Me: "I don't want to listen to that beeping"
T: "Why?"
Me: "Because it's obnoxious"
T: "What's obnoxious?"
Me: "The beeping"
T: "What beeping?"
