Weenie Roast

This is something you would have NEVER seen with the first one, not even the second one. At some point during the parenting journey I decided that not everything is life or death. A periodic sugar overload can be overlooked. Processed foods and chips for the weekend won't cause cancer as an adult. Eating a hotdog with a little ash on it will steel his stomach. Heck, let's teach him a little fire safety while we're at it by putting him at the fire pit with a metal rod and flammable clothing. No big deal. He cooked and ate the hotdog with enough cheetos and marshmallows to make an ordinary man pant and turn green. The bottom line...he lived to tell about it and he may even be a better man for it someday.

Disappointment

How do you explain "Zoning laws" to a 5 year old? How do you explain the importance of an established flower bed without sounding shallow? How do you say "no" to a creature that willingly sits in your lap when nature says they are supposed to run? Like this..."no you can't bring that goat home, Bailey will eat it" Hmm, that was easier than I thought.
Unlike the goat whisperer, TC could not convince one to come on there own volition...

Unless Emma actually place it in his lap (notice she is hovering protectively to the side in case TC decides to pick the goat up by the neck...because it has happened)

Tip #12 for the city mouse: To discourage pesky cows from sneaking your smores, just flash 'em with your camara. Apparently it's highly uncomfortable for them.
(Tip #13 for the city mouse: Always ask about reusing measuring cups in the sink to make sure it was not previously used to mix kid milk...as in... a baby goat)

Outstanding

He sat in the gym along with all the other Carver 1st graders as each teacher handed out the end-of-the-year awards. Some got several, everyone got at least one. Tatum knew about the Red Hot Reader award already so when he, along with his classmates, were asked to stand up, he just smiled his little impish grin. But the one that really got him skipping, hands in the air, smile stretched across his face, was the "Top Student Award" in P.E. From the beginning to the end, he showed the most improvement in his skills and attitude. "Oh the places you will go!" -Dr. Seuss

Sweet Cheeks

A booty this cute should be against the law. What makes this one especially adorable is that it belongs to a boy who has decided that he really doesn't need underwear, it is just one more thing to have to worry about. So you can understand that he is a bit rusty when it comes to which way they should face.

Texas photo op

Ladies, don't try this with your husbands. You can only attempt this with another friend, preferably one who is also your sister. Shane and I were in awe of the flowers this spring and just HAD to stop for a minute...or 45 to snap some shots. Jason's eyes would be bugging out of his head and he would absolutely be speaking in a not so friendly volume at this point. But WHO could pass up this opportunity? I mean just LOOK at these shots!

Sister Nature

This girl amazes me. Since birth, she has had this peace about her...a gentleness that was hard to explain. She loves living things and she has a confidence with them. She knows when to be gentle and when to exert her authority. And she's not scared...except with snakes, but let's be honest, unless you're the crocodile hunter, aren't we all? Anyway, she's a natural.

His Glory

"And they were calling to one another: 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory'" Isaiah 6:3
