After 4 years of being a "stay-at-home" mom, I'm finally getting to actually do it. This is what I mean. For the first 4 years I was a caregiver for not only my kids but someone else's too. That meant that there was never a lazy day when we stayed in our pajamas all day, meals were stictly planned for my children, I never volunteered at school, and by 5 o'clock everyday, I was spent. But this year I have the luxury of preschool, what a blessing! Now I work in the library at Tatum's school, run the scholastic program for Emma's school, drop in to eat lunch with Tatum, pick up lunch for the teachers, etc., etc., and pretty much love what I do, everyday. Because Tennison was in school on this day, Emma and I were able to hang out, just the 2 of us, on her fieldtrip to Mayfarm. And I loved everyminute of it. What a gift I have been given! And you know the best part? My husband has noticed the improvement in my attitude, which makes him more open to the idea of paying someone to keep my kids a few days a week instead of the other way around.
